Verd was a Clone trooper commander that served in the 442nd Siege Battalion, a battalion in the Grand Army of the Republic, during the Clone Wars. Verd was deployed to the Battle of Cato-Neimodia during the Outer Rim Sieges in 19 BBY, under the command of Jedi General Plo Koon.[1] During the battle, Verd directed the 442nd's companies to besiege the Separatist base at an arena in the city Tarko-se using the battalion's All Terrain Recon Transports and Infantry Support Platforms.[1] With additional aerial support from Clone Flight Squad Seven and Koon, Republic forces eventually regained control of the planet from Separatist General Baik Raaorn and his forces.[1]
