This unidentified pilot was a trooper who piloted an Eta-class shuttle during the Battle of Ringo Vinda in 20 BBY.[3] He delivered Captain Rex and Jedi general Anakin Skywalker to investigate a destroyed convoy.[4]
History
In 20 BBY, the Republic were engaged with the Confederacy of Independent systems in a battle for the planet Ringo Vinda. In the heat of the battle, a clone trooper from the 501st Legion named Tup shot his Jedi general in the head. He was taken back to base, where he was questioned for his actions, but he seemed not to understand. The troopers with him decided that he needed to be transported to Kamino for a full examination.[4]
Tup was carried to a Nu-class medical shuttle with several escorts. However, the convoy was ambushed and destroyed, with the droids capturing Tup. Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and Captain Rex were sent to investigate. This trooper piloted he Eta-class shuttle they used. After they decided to go and rescue Tup, this trooper once again piloted the shuttle. He landed it upside down on a space station ring, allowing the Jedi and troopers to space-walk to the hangar where Tup was located.
Armor and Equipment
This unidentified trooper wore Phase II armor which included a life support pack and a fully-enclosed helmet. His helmet was marked by red, gray, and yellow stripes.[4]
