Class3
Task Force Commander was a position within the Grand Army of the Republic. It entailed leading a specialized unit, such as The Muunilinst 10.

Description Edit

A Task Force Commander was in charge of leading a specialized unit, similar to the sergeants of commando squads. The ones holding the job of Task Force Commander, such as Fordo,[1] lead by example. Fordo was a man of few words, and in turn so were his troopers.[1]

History Edit

In 22 BBY, Fordo was given the designation of Task Force Commander,[1] where he led The Muunilinst 10 during the Battle of Muunilinst.[2] During his assignment, he lost only one man CT-43/002 and managed to complete his assignment.[1] Shortly after the Battle of Muunilinst, Fordo and his unit were deployed to rescue several Jedi on Hypori.[3] During his mission on Hypori, four of his lieutenants were killed by General Grievous. Fordo managed to rescue three of his Jedi Generals, alongside Stec and the remaining lieutenants.[4]

In 19 BBY, Fordo and the 10 were stationed on Coruscant when the Separatists attacked and captured the Supreme Chancellor, Sheev Palpatine.[5][6] The 10 fought against the battle droid threat. Fordo attacked the droids, after a few troopers of his were killed, single-handedly destroying several Super Battle Droids with unorthodox methods.[7]

  8. Despite never being officially named as a Task Force Commander, it can be assumed that he was as he led a Strikeforce (although the terminology of both Task and Strike Forces are naval based). A strikeforce and task force are similar, therefore it can be assumed that Clutch was a Task Force Commander.
