Tacks' Regiment

Clone Wars

This is a Class 4 article.

Tacks, born CC-2801, was a clone trooper commander who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was in charge of a regiment of troopers. He served in the 87th Sentinel Corps as a Clone Regiment Commander, leading a Sharpshooter Regiment.

Tacks was born in 32 BBY on the water planet of Kamino,[1] cloned from the genetic template of infamous bounty hunter Jango Fett.[2] Tacks was given extensive training and eventually was given the rank of Commander.

In 22 BBY, Tacks and his regiment were deployed to the First Battle of Geonosis. He was assigned to fight on the ground, being sent to capture command posts in the Trippa Hive.[3] The battle would end in a Republic victory.[4]

In 21 BBY, the unit would fight on the Battle of Kamino, being tasked with defending the Republic's command posts on the planet.[3] The battle would again be a Republic victory.[5]

Following the battle, the regiment would fight at battles on Felucia and Naboo. On Felucia, they were assigned to capture Separatist command posts, while on Naboo they were supposed to defend their own posts.[3]

In 19 BBY, the regiment was deployed to the Battle of Kashyyyk, alongside the 501st Legion,[6] 41st Elite Corps,[7] 7th Aleena Reconnaissance Regiment,[8] Faie's unit,[9] and Delta Squad,[10] to fight against Separatist forces on the planet.[3]

Armor and Equipment[]

Tacks was given both Phase I and Phase II clone trooper armor, with a pauldron and kama, as well as a set of macrobinoculars.[3] Oddly enough, the armor was seemingly unmarked and pure white.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

In Star Wars Battlefront II, in which CC appears as the Galactic Republic announcer, he announces his nickname. There's an "x" sound at the end, so it's likely that it's Tacks, Taks, Tax, etc. but the exact spelling is yet to be confirmed.
