A side-wind breach was a method of infiltration utilized by Clone Force 99 on Raxus Secundus.

History[]

In 19 BBY, Clone Force 99 was tasked with rescuing a former Separatist dissident from Imperial captivity by Trandoshan information broker Ciddarin Scaleback off of the planet Raxus Secundus. Once arriving and rescuing the dissident, Senator Avi Singh, the squad were discovered by Stormtrooper forces and pursued by ground forces as well as several All Terrain Tactical Enforcers. The squad boarded one of the AT-TEs by use of ascension cables and attacking the crew, boarding the vehicle and using it as an escape method. Once the vehicle was attacked by pursuing AT-TEs, the Bad Batch brought the tank alongside a barrier wall and detonated a path into nearby tunnels to cover their escape.[1]

In 18 BBY, the squad deployed to Eriadu in an attempt to track Doctor Royce Hemlock back to their brother Crosshair, who had called for assistance with the use of Plan 88. When the squad arrived, they identified a tram system, which Tech noted and suggested a side-wind breach, similar to the rescue mission on Raxus. However, Echo remarked that plan would not be effective, as the Imperials were using a sensor to detect such an intrusion.[2]
