Sharp was a clone trooper captain that served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Sharp was the commanding officer of the 44th Special Operations Division and the Devil Dogs.
History[]
Sharp was born in 32 BBY on the water planet of Kamino, cloned from the genetic template of Jango Fett.[1][2] Sharp received basic training as well as leadership training, eventually graduating with the rank of Captain, being deployed in the Clone Wars.
In 22 BBY, Sharp was deployed to the planet Mimban, where he was injured by a blaster bolt, that hit him straight in his throat, leaving his voice distorted severely. Later, Sharp was deployed to the planet of Khorm, commanding his unit of 44th Special Operations Division and the Devil Dogs.[3] Alongside Commander Wolffe and the 104th Battalion, Sharp served under the command of Jedi Generals Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, and Tauht. With their Generals ideals of upholding the Galactic Republic's reputation, Sharp and his units' views differed but were set aside predominately to respect their Generals.[3]
Fisto and Koon deployed to eliminate the Separatists' secret weapon, a climate-control base that could cause devastating storms to affect the residents. Because Sharp and the Devil Dogs specialized in explosives, they embarked with the generals. Along the way, they were ambushed by Asajj Ventress and several commando droids, killing Deadeye, Jark, Blunt, and Sten. Following the ambush, Fisto, Koon, Sharp, and the remaining member of the unit, Fixer, continued on with their mission.[3] Because they were lacking in their unit, Koon adjusted the plan to slice into the base and aim the storm to attack itself, which Sharp ordered Fixer to do, as he was the electronic specialist of the unit.[3]
With the weather station destroyed, the unit moved toward attacking the Separatist's base. While Koon led a group to free a group of Khormai hostages within the base, Sharp went with Fisto into the base to destroy the base's main defense guns. Entering through the large turret's barrel, Fisto and Sharp entered the base, despite not having an immediate plan to destroy the guns. Sharp decided to use the gun's agrocite-fueled round to destroy the other cannons, however, he then chose to personally ignite the round himself, sacrificing himself to knock out the guns while giving Fisto enough time to escape. He explained to the general that he wanted to "go out like a Devil Dog - with a bang". The plan succeeded and the guns, as well as most of the base, were destroyed.[3]
Personality and Traits[]
Sharp was a specially trained clone trooper, which led to his leadership style. He and the Devil Dogs were known for their reckless battle style, wishing to get the task done, regardless of any moral lines crossed. Sharp also had a distinct voice because of the damage he had encountered at the Battle of Mimban; he was shot in the neck which distorted his voice.[3]
Like all clones of Fett, Sharp was born with black hair, brown eyes, and a height of 1.83 meters.[1]
Armor and Equipment[]
Sharp was equipped with Clone cold assault trooper armor in the Phase I iteration. He would also use a FREECO speeder. He also possessed a DC-15S blaster carbine.
