Sarge, also known as RC-1013, was a clone commando sergeant that served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Sarge served under the Special Operations Brigade, initially as the leader of White Squad. Following a mission on Ord Mantell, Sarge was redeployed as the leader of Aiwha Squad, serving dilligently through the rest of the war.
History[]
In 22 BBY, Sarge was deployed in the First Battle of Geonosis, surviving the encounter, however, his three brothers did not. Following the First Battle, Sarge and his new squad were tasked alongside Blue Squad to track down and take out a group of Trandoshan mercenaries who were transporting precious cargo.[4] The two units were sent to Ord Mantell, with White Squad provided cover from a nearby building and Blue Squad creating a distraction that would stall the mercenaries temporarily. However, in the assault, Blue Squad was killed quickly.[4] This setback, on the other hand, allowed White Squad to track the mercs. Upon finding their location, the four assaulted the facility. While the squad fought hard, three members of White Squad were killed.[4] Sarge, however, completed the mission, killed the remaining Trandoshans, and recovered the item. The package was eventually delivered to the Chancellor and his Vice Chair Mas Amedda.[4] Sarge previously was deployed to the Battle of the Celestial Wake.[3]
Following his squad's demise, Sarge was reassigned to serve alongside three other survivors of previous Special Operations Brigade members, Zag, Di'kut, and Tyto. In 19 BBY, the new unit, Aiwha Squad, was deployed to the planet of Garqui, to serve in the battle that took place there. Following the battle, Jedi General Traavis deployed Aiwha Squad to search and retrieve any survivors and bring them to the refugee camp nearby. During their search, the squad came across a young boy named Evan, whose parents had been killed in the battle.[3] The squad began their return to the camp on foot, which was 20 kilometers away from the location they had found Evan.[3] However, during the return trip, Evan stumbled across an active OG-9 homing spider droid. Aiwha Squad destroyed the droid and protected the boy. Following the attack, the squad and Evan started a camp for the evening. Sarge took the opportunity to introduce each member of the squad and how they ended up in this position.[3] The following day, the squad returned to the camp with Evan in tow and reported to Traavis the only survivor they had found had been Evan. Shortly afterward, Sarge received word from Chancellor Palpatine to executed Order 66, marking Traavis as a traitor to the Republic.[3] The squad executed their former Jedi General with extreme prejudice. However, Evan had witnessed the entire event and questioned Sarge about the attack. Sarge replied that they were simply following orders and that they did not question their orders.[3]
Personality and Traits[]
Sarge, a clone of Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, stood at 1.83 meters and had brown eyes.[1] Sarge bore a dyed brown patch of hair, differentiating himself from other troopers.[3] Sarge diligently obeyed the orders he was given, determined to accomplish any mission set before him, regardless of the sacrifices he had to make.[4][3] He viewed every clone as his brother, a commonality among clone trooper ranks.[3] When he and Aiwha Squad were escorting Evan to the refugee camp on Garqi, the Sergeant at times became frustrated with the boy due to his stubborn refusal to submit to the squad's assistance, but later explained his background to the boy and offered him advice to survive in the galaxy.[3] When Order 66 was initiated, Sarge complied, as did the rest of his squad.[3]
Armor and Equipment[]
Sarge was equipped with Katarn-class commando armor lined with red markings. The armor was equipped with dense plating and retractable vibroblades from the knuckle plate compartment. The commando also carried a DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System.[4][3]
