Class3

The Rockslide tactic was used to create rockslides and distract enemies, which gave the the Republic forces the time they needed to sneak down.

Description Edit

Rockslide was a tactic where the clone forces would create a rockslide to destroy or distract enemy forces. It was used in a few separate occasions.[1][2]

History Edit

Rockslide was used in 22 BBY, by the troopers of Keeli's company, who were ordered by Captain Keeli and Jedi General Ima-Gun-Di to blow up a mount side, the east ridge, to reroute the Separatist force so the Twi'lek refugees could escape. The company made a final stand in the process.[1]

In 19 BBY, Clone Force 99 used the tactic again, having Wrecker and Crosshair push a rock over the edge, while Captain Rex, Sergeant Hunter, and Tech run down the hill to assist Jedi General Anakin Skywalker. They disarmed the locals of the village that had captured Skywalker and were able to negotiate with them.[2] Their mission was to rescue ARC Trooper Corporal Echo from Separatists. They were successful in their venture, eventually having Echo destroy an entire battlegroup of droids.[3]

Other Edit

  • While it was never stated as used during the Battle of Ryloth, it can be assumed as the two troopers of Keeli's company blew up a mountain causing a rockslide and rocks falling on droids heads, slowing them down.
