The Rail-class Advanced Recon Commando was a post-Galactic Republic generation of ARC troopers that was secretly bred by the Kaminoan scientists in a plot to liberate Kamino from the rule of the Galactic Empire.
History[]
The Rail-class Advanced Recon Commando was a classification of the Advanced Recon Commando that was created after the end of the Clone Wars. All the clones who continued to serve the Grand Army of the Republic would be issued Stormtrooper armor, earning that as their new designation. The Rail-class were trained by the Kaminoans with flash training in the same way that the others had been trained. The ARCs were created to compliment the Anti-Imperial clone troopers that the Kaminoans created. The Rail-class specifically favored the Z-6 rotary blaster cannon as their primary weaponry. The inhibitor chips were never implanted in these troopers brains so that they would not be obedient to the Empire.[1][2]
In 12 BBY, the Empire deployed a regiment of the 501st Legion to decimate the Kaminoan resistance, as well as their Anti-Imperial clone troopers and the Rail-class ARC troopers.[1] The operation was a black op in the Empire's assignment, receiving special assistance from Boba Fett. The Anti-troopers were the first line of defense, however, they fell quickly to the battle-hardened veterans of the 501st. The Rails attempted to prevent the remaining Imperial forces from entering Tipoca City, but failed in the process, resulting in the destruction of the life support systems. This, unfortunately, resulted in the loss of many Rails and Anti-troopers that were still in their birth pods.[1]
In a last effort stand against the Imperials, the Rails and the Anti-troopers fought until the last man. Once the Kaminoans were dealt with and the clones were executed. The Clone Rebellion never occurred as far the public knew, as no one escaped the onslaught to spread the story.[1]
Armor and Equipment[]
The Rails possessed Phase I clone trooper armor that were outfitted with pauldrons and kamas, following the standard Advanced Recon Commando outfit. The Rails also possessed Z-6 rotary blaster cannons that they held over their shoulders, which was a peculiar way to hold them.
