Prudii Squad[1] was a squad of clone commandos that served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the beginning of the Clone Wars. Prudii were deployed to the First Battle of Geonosis, with three members being killed in the battle, save for Atin.

History[]

Prudii Squad was created shortly after 32 BBY, when the clone troopers were commissioned. The clone commandos, cloned from the genetic template of Jango Fett, were broken up into training companies, being trained by 100 different specialists known as the Cuy'val Dar.[2] Prudii Squad were placed under the command of Training Sergeant Walon Vau, a Mandalorian who was known for his brutal approach to training.[2] During training one of Prudii's members was killed. Similarly, Atin's first squad were all killed in training, except for him. Atin felt survivor's guilt following the loss of his brothers, due to the fact that they tried to save him in the simulation. Vau beat him with a Mandalorian saber, attempting to toughen him up and re-focus his attention to what he was bred for.[2] Atin would then join Prudii as a replacement.[2]

In 22 BBY, Prudii Squad was deployed to the First Battle of Geonosis, which turned out to be the beginning of the Clone Wars, serving as a unit in the Grand Army of the Republic.[2] Prudii was deployed to serve as infantry and operate specialized tasks on the planets surface. However, the other three members of Prudii Squad were killed in the battle, leaving Atin the sole survivor once again.[2] Atin continued to feel survivor's guilt because of the loss of both squads now, which resulted in Vau taking a knife to Atin's face to refocus his attention once again. Atin was placed in a bacta tank for five months following the battle, but the scar did not heal. Atin would then be assigned to serve with Omega Squad throughout the duration of the Clone Wars.[2]

Armor and Equipment[]

The clone commandos were equipped with standard equipment, including Katarn-class commando armor, DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon Systems, and DC-15s side arm blaster.[3]
