Jek-14, also known as The Maker or The Maker of Zoh,[4] was a clone Force-sensitive Sith created by Count Dooku on Kamino during the Clone Wars.

History[]

Jek-14 was born in 21 BBY on Kamino,[2] cloned from the genetic template of a Mandalorian bounty hunter named Jango Fett.[1] However, unlike average clones, Jek-14 was enhanced with four Kyber-crystals combined together and put into the formula which would infect an entire batch of clones making them Force-sensitive. Only Jek-14 came out of the pod.[5]

Jek-14 dueled with Jedi Generals Mace Windu and Yoda, managing to defeat them. Following the fight, Jek-14 flew to Geonosis where he met with Darth Sidious as well as General Grievous and Dooku.[5]

However, with some intervention by Yoda once again, Jek-14 fought both the Jedi and the Sith, declaring he would take no side.[6] During the Clone Wars, was pursued by both the Galactic Republic and the Separatist forces. Once he was tracked down by Yoda's Padawans on Hoth and helped them build "beautiful things". Dooku captured him once again, using him to make an army of Sith clones. Dooku and his clones attacked the temple, which made Jek-14's powers awaken, which gave him the advantage of destroying Dooku's clones and driving Dooku away from the temple. Despite winning the affection of the Jedi, he decided it would be best to leave and find himself a new home.[6]

Later he reconsidered his decision to help the Jedi to defeat the Sith and their Badawans on Mustafar. As a result, Jek-14 won the trust of the Jedi Order.[7]

Following Order 66 and the Jedi Purge, Jek-14 came out of hiding to help Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and several Padawans recover several holocrons to keep away from the Emperor and Darth Vader. After the Jedi and Jek-14 hid the holocrons on Tatooine, Jek-14 returned to his quiet life.[7]

During the Galactic Civil War, Jek-14 assisted Luke Skywalker and his Rebel companions to recover the holocrons from Darth Vader and the Emperor again. He later assisted the Rebellion in moving their base from Yavin-4 to Hoth. After leaving Hoth, he returned to his quiet life for the final time, after getting the assistance of Yoda to give him a biological arm.[8]

Personality and Traits[]

Jek-14 was originally unstable but highly obedient to the Sith. However, with some reasoning from Yoda, he managed to see the error of his ways. Not wanting to be used by anyone, he secluded himself from the galaxy. Eventually, he managed to see the Jedi were right.

Jek-14 had a height of 1.83 meters and black hair, which was very consistent with Jango Fett's genome.[1] However, he possessed blue eyes, as well as force powered arm.[2]

Armor and Equipment[]

Jek-14 did not possess any weapons. He owned special Phase II clone trooper armor, which was colored with red with a special visor. He also possessed a ship with an astromech droid.
