Greer was a clone trooper that served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. However, after surviving the Clone Wars, Greer and many other clone troopers were slowly being phased out of the Galactic Empire, with some deserting altogether. Greer eventually made contact with former Captain Rex and joined his network.
History[]
Greer was born in 32 BBY, cloned from the genetic template of Mandalorian bounty hunter Jango Fett, on the water planet of Kamino.[1][2] Greer received basic training and was eventually deployed with the Grand Army of the Republic to the First Battle of Geonosis. As the Clone Wars progressed, Greer managed to survive throughout. However, in 19 BBY, following Order 66 and the reorganization of the Galactic Republic into the Galactic Empire, many clones felt disgruntled with their new regime. Following the Emperor's decree to phase out clone troopers from the Imperial Army, Greer made the decision to desert, making contact with former Captain Rex and joining his network.[3][4]
In 18 BBY, Greer was sent to the planet of Pantora alongside Rex, Captain Howzer, and Samson, in attempt to escort former Separatist Senator Avi Singh and his droid to a meeting with Imperial Senator Riyo Chuchi. Greer, Samson, and Howzer were all stationed on the perimeter, while Rex escorted the Senator directly. Greer was stationed near a tunnel entrance in the facility with Chuchi, while Samson remained closer to her. Once Rex, Singh, and the droid arrived, the meeting with Chuchi began. However, Greer was ambushed by clone assassin CX-1, who choked Greer to death.[4] The assassin deployed a thermal detonator through a nearby vent, which caught the attention of Rex, who dove to catch it and return it through the vent. Rex and Samson followed the assassin through the tunnels, while Howzer pursued by BARC speeder. Howzer intercepted the assassin, stunning him with his DC-15S blaster carbine. The three troopers took the stunned assassin to their base on Teth, avenging Greer by questioning the assassin for vital information.[4]
Armor and Equipment[]
Greer was equipped with Phase II clone trooper armor with green markings on his helmet and chest plate. He was also equipped with a DC-15S blaster carbine.
