22 BBY, Haruun Kal
Four-Nine, designation CC-8/349, was a clone trooper captain who served in the Grand Army of the Republic. He was part of the armed forces who were dispatched by the Republic to retake Haruun Kal that was conquered. There he served in the battle for the capital Pelek Baw.
A Human male clone of the acclaimed bounty hunter Jango Fett, the clone trooper who received the designation "CC-8/349", was born around the year 32 BBY on the planet Kamino for service in the Grand Army of the Republic. Granted advanced growth by the Kaminoan cloners, CC-8/349's early life largely incorporated Kaminoan flash training. As was the case with other clones who became officers, the Kaminoans spotted his natural leadership abilities early on, and over the next decade, he was put through additional command training and intensive programmed learning to develop his skills.
In 22 BBY, CC-8/349 served on the planet Geonosis in the opening battle of what became known as the Clone Wars, fighting on the side of the Old Galactic Republic against the native Geonosians and the Droid Army of the Separatist Alliance. After the conflict on Geonosis, was over, CC-8/349 called himself Four-Nine as his personal nickname like many clone troopers do. He eventually commanded a platoon of heavy assault troopers. After landing on the planet Haruun Kal, he and his troops were instructed by Jedi General Mace Windu, a member of the Jedi High Council, to counter any militia attacks on the planet.
Later on, he was ordered to prevent any harm to the Balawai officer Lorz Geptun as he attempted to transmit the codes deactivating the droid starfighter's attack commands. Four-Nine originally objected to Mace's order to use proton grenades on the control bunker door, as he believed other clone troopers, civilians and their Korun allies to be alive in there. Mace informed him that they had all been killed, except the Akk Guards, Kar Vastor, and Depa Billaba. When Four-Nine offered to lead his troopers into the bunker first, Mace rejected the offer, saying that the clones would be no match for the Korunnai Force-users. Windu proved to be correct as numerous clones were cut down by the Akk Guards. Four-Nine was one of the 24 clone casualties during the fight for the control bunker.
