This unidentified pilot was a trooper who piloted an ARC-170 starfighter in 19 BBY.[3] However, the convoy that he was part of came under attack by an HMP droid gunship, and he was killed as rocket super battle droids blasted his cockpit.[2]

History[]

ARC2

This pilot's ARC-170 is attacked by rocket pack-equipped super battle droids

In 19 BBY[3], the Republic were engaged with the Confederacy of Independent systems in a full-scale conflict for the planet Ringo Vinda. In the middle of the battle, a clone trooper from the 501st Legion named Tup shot his Jedi general in the head. He was taken back to base, where he was questioned for his actions, but he seemed not to understand. The troopers with him decided that he needed to be transported to Kamino for a full examination.[2]

Tup was carried to a Nu-class medical shuttle with several ARC-170 escorts; one of which this unidentified trooper piloted. They left the Republic armada to head for Kamino. However, as they were about to make the jump to hyperspace, the copilot of the Nu-class shuttle warned of an incoming ship, and the jump was aborted. The ship turned out to be a Separatist HMP, and it launched several missiles, destroying two of the four ARC-170 escorts.[2]

The HMP was accompanied by multiple super battle droids which were equipped with rocket packs for space travel. Before the ARC-170s could return fire, the droids flew over to the cockpits of the starfighters. This trooper was shot as a droid fired its blaster at him.[2]

Armor and Equipment[]

This unidentified trooper wore Phase II armor which included a life support pack and a fully-enclosed helmet.[2]
