Drayk was a clone trooper who served as a Captain in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. He was present during the Battle of Kothlis.
History
Drayk was born in 32 BBY on the world Kamino, home to Kaminoans who specialized in cloning.[1][2] During his training, he expressed higher leadership capabilities than most, earning him command training and upon graduation, receiving the rank of Captain.
In 21 BBY, a fleet was dispatched to Kothlis by the Galactic Republic to thwart a Separatist planetary invasion by General Grievous, who was intending to eliminate the Bothan Spynet. Drayk was assigned to the battle group bound for Kothlis. When the Republic's fleet arrived in-system, Grievous used a virus to block all Republic communications.[3]
Despite this, Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker ordered a counterattack. The battle group landed on the surface and were immediately met with Separatist battle droids resistance, suffering heavy losses due to the unexpected number of droids present. During the battle, the Republic restored their communications and forced the Separatists to flee the system.[3]
Skywalker would then lead squadrons of starfighters to support the ground troops on Kothlis, and the Republic forces eventually defeated the remaining droids. Due to Kenobi being injured, and Skywalker needed elsewhere, Drayk received orders to conclude the work on Kothlis, since the Separatist attack left heavy damages. Sergeants Ando and Ven remained, in addition to Drayk under his command, to help coordinate the remaining troopers.[3]
Personality and Traits
Drayk, like most clones,[4] stood at 1.83 meters and had black hair and brown eyes, like his template Jango Fett.[1] Drayk earned a reputation of being a good and reliable officer, earning praise from Skywalker, as well as a level of trust, seeing as how he ordered Drayk to oversee the cleanup of the planet.[3]
