Devil Dogs was a unit within the 44th Special Operations Division that served in the Grand Army of the Republic, specifically under the Special Operations Brigade. The unit was deployed, alongside the 104th Battalion and the Wolfpack, to the planet of Khorm.

History[]

Devil Dogs were commissioned in 32 BBY, when the clones were created by the Jedi.[1] The unit received specialized training, which allowed them to move through arctic based environments with ease.

In 21 BBY, the Devil Dogs were deployed to the planet of Khorm under the command of Jedi Generals Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Tauht, Major Ozzel, and Commander Sharp. The unit participated in a battle there, where they were deployed to intervene with a Separatist weather machine that had been causing havoc on the planet's surface. The unit set out with Koon and Fisto in an attempt to locate this machine, which led them into a village where the locals had been slaughtered. Fisto and Koon ordered the troopers to start bringing the bodies so that they could be buried, as the two Jedi began cutting a hole to bury the fallen civilians.[2]

However, shortly after burying the civilians, the unit set out again and was ambushed. This resulted in the deaths of many of their detachment, including Blunt, Deadeye, Sten, and Jark, leaving only Sharp and Fixer.[2] By the time the unit completed their task, Sharp sacrificed himself, which left Fixer the only surviving unit member.[2]

Armor and Equipment[]

The unit known as the Devil Dogs possessed specialized armor, which designated the unit as a special operations unit with Clone cold assault trooper armor. The unit primarily relyed on standard weaponry, however, they were given special vehicles for their arctic assaults.
