A deflector shield generator was a device used to produce a deflector shield. They were made in a variety of sizes, ranging from small hand-held devices to ones capable of generating a field around a small planet.

Deflector shields were used throughout the Clone Wars for protection. During the Battle of Taronda, a generator was used to protect the Republic forces until their reinforcements arrived.
