DV-523 was a clone stormtrooper who served in the Galactic Empire during the time of the Galactic Civil War. The trooper took part in a key raid aboard the Tantive IV in 0 BBY.
History
DV-523, unlike most clones, was born in 20 BBY on the moon of Centax-2, rather than Kamino.[1] However, he did share the standard trooper's traits, such as eye color and height.[2] The trooper was grown to the standard trooper at the time, aging rapidly to 22 years in a year.[1]
In 0 BBY, DV-523, alongside the 501st Legion, then known as Vader's Fist, to raid the Tantive VI, which possessed the plans for the Death Star, following their transferal from the Profundity once the Battle of Scarif ended.[3]
Upon breaching, 523 was one of the first waves to enter the ship, without getting hit, as two of his comrades had. The unit pushed the Rebels back, eventually overtaking the ship, with the deaths of many crew members, including Captain Raymus Antillies, and the capture of Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan. However, the plans were placed in the care of C-3P0 and R2-D2, Organa's personal droids, who had abandoned ship in an escape pod.[4]
