- "Some clones with an aptitude for machines are trained to service and maintain starfighters and gunships supporting their brother pilots in the struggle against the Separatists."
- ―The role of the clone flight crew
The clone flight crew was a group of clone troopers that were trained for managing and repairing starships and vehicles of the Grand Army of the Republic. Some other jobs included refueling starfighters, downloading flight reports, repairing damage, and removing and inserting droids into starfighters.[1]
Equipment[]
The clone flight crew used various tools to accomplish their missions. Some included diagnostic computers, astromech units, and other mechanics' tools. They also hold spare parts in their vests. They also wore uniforms similar to the Clone naval officer and later on, the Imperial Officers.[1]
History[]
Clone flight crews were seen in most fleets and large cruisers, such as Venator-class star destroyers, throughout the Republic Navy. They played a crucial role in prepping fighters for space battles.[1] They were seen from the first few weeks of the war to the waning months of the conflict around 20 BBY.[2]
