Clone engineers, or clone combat engineers, was a type of clone trooper during the Clone Wars in the Grand Army of the Republic. Clone engineers did many different services from repairing vehicles to bombs workings.

The clone engineers were all apart of the Combat Engineer Battalion. A majority of the engineers were apart of the 38th Armored Division. Some of them were part of Bravo Squadron. Several engineers were apart of a 501st Legion regiment, which fought at the First Battle of Geonosis, as well as the Third Battle of Mygeeto, Skirmish on Felucia and Operation: Knightfall (Order 66).[1] Clone engineers played an important role in destroying and immobilizing energy farms used by the Separatists during the Battle of Thule.[2]

Armor and Equipment[]

Clone combat engineers carried medical supplies, F-187 fusion cutters, and ammunition. They also had detonation packs, shotguns, and small blaster pistols in case they had to fight. They wore Phase II armor, and often were sent with tanks and vehicles, which they were equipped to repair, in case of a breakdown, or enemy attack.  Most clone troopers had yellow markings on them, while troopers of the Combat Battalion had maroon markings.
