CT-9/85 was a clone trooper that fought during the Clone Wars in the Grand Army of the Republic.

HistoryEdit

CT-9/85 was born in 32 BBY on the water planet of Kamino,[2] cloned by the genetic code of the infamous bounty hunter Jango Fett.[1] The trooper was given basic training and eventually graduated, which would lead him into being assigned to serve as a Communication Technician in the Republic Navy.[3] He was specifically assigned to serve aboard the Nexu, under the command of Admiral Arikkakon Baraka.[3]

His assignment at the time of 22 BBY, the Nexu was stationed over Vandor-3 for a clone trooper training program on the planet.[3] However, the ship was quickly deployed to Ord Cestus to support Jedi Generals Kit Fisto and Obi-Wan Kenobi, on their mission to stop the production of JK-13 security droids. A ground team was deployed in order to assist the two Generals in their mission, however, they quickly ran into resistance.[3]

The trooper received a signal from Jangotat, who was apart of Ord Cestus Squad that was deployed. CT-9/85 notified the Admiral of the signal, Baraka went to CT-9/85's station and asked for the data content. The message clearly stated that the Nexu shift it's orbital bombardment coordinates to a location east of Kibo Lake. Baraka ordered the ship to fire on the new designated location, wiping out the Five Families of Cestus Cybernetics, an organization in league with the Separatists. Fisto and Kenobi were able to complete the mission successfully, despite the casualties of Jangotat and the unit's pilot Xutoo.[3]

Personality and Traits Edit

CT-9/85 was a veteran communications technician, who was highly skilled at his position, as he quickly was able to read and send the information transcribed by Jangotat to Admiral Baraka.[3] CT-9/85 assured that Baraka was genuine, as Jangotat called for bombard directly on him, which he, as Jangotat's brother, took very seriously.[3]

Armor and Equipment Edit

Like most clones, he likely bore Phase I clone trooper armor and wielded a DC-15S blaster carbine. However, due to being a Communications Technician, he was more likely to possess a lighter set of outfit and weaponry, specifically the Naval Officer's outfit and a DC-17 hand blaster.
