Azure Defense Fleet was a defense fleet that was deployed around the planet of Azure during the time of the Clone Wars.
History[]
In 22 BBY, four weeks following the First Battle of Geonosis,[1] the fleet was deployed at the Battle of Azure Spaceport during the Clone Wars. The fleet was led by General Solomahal, a Lutrillian who had served in the Galactic Republic's military forces long before the war,[2] as well as Lieutenant Banno, a Bothan.
Jedi Generals Obi-Wan Kenobi and Siri Tachi, alongside Jedi Commander Anakin Skywalker, was deployed to the Battle of Azure Spaceport, in hopes to defend the codebreaker, a device crafted by Talesan Fry, which could turn the tide of the war.[3] The fleet lost several starcrafts but remained active during the war, due to Skywalker and Banno's leadership of the pilots.[3]
