History[]
96th Regiment was a unit that was assigned to serve in the Grand Army of the Republic and was created in 32 BBY.[1] The unit was trained specifically for using TX-130 Saber-class fighter tanks and AT-APs.[2]
The unit saw action on the planet of Geonosis, alongside their heavy armor counterparts 282nd Regiment,[3] fighting in the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY.[2][4] The unit would also be deployed to fight on the planet of Saluecami, likely around 19 BBY.[5]

The 96th Regiment was given TX-130 Saber-class fighter tanks and AT-APs that were marked with blue markings.
