481st Legion was a clone trooper legion that served within the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.
History[]
The 481st Legion was created in 32 BBY when the Grand Army of the Republic was commissioned.[1] The 481st Legion was active during the Clone Wars.
In 19 BBY, once Order 66 was initiated, the 481st sent a few detachments to the planet of Ilum to secure the Jedi Temple on the planet and eliminate any Jedi survivors from the initial attack.[2] However, once the Republic was reformed as the Empire, the 481st had been called back to their full strength and were replaced by a joint Imperial Army garrison and an Imperial Navy battle group that acted as a blockade.[2]
Armor and Equipment[]
The 481st Legion was equipped with Phase II clone trooper armor during the time of their deployment in 19 BBY. The unit was also likely equipped with DC-15S blaster carbines and DC-15A blaster rifles.
