282nd Regiment was a clone trooper unit that served in the Grand Army of the Republic. The unit was a highly armored regiment, which was equipped with AT-AP walkers and TX-130 Saber-class fighter tanks, striped with red designs.

The 282nd Regiment was a unit created for deployment in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. The regiment comprised of clone troopers that were trained to be pilots and gunners and drive TX-130 Saber-class fighter tanks, as well as AT-AP walkers. The vehicles were striped red. The TX-130's in the 282nd, however, was less maneuverable than the 96th Regiment. The AT-AP's were deployed to add troop support to supplement the Republic fighter tanks in accomplishing their objectives.

In 22 BBY, the unit was deployed to fight during the First Battle of Geonosis. The unit was deployed with the TX-130 Saber-class fighter tanks and AT-AP walkers.[1] The regiment likely fought throughout the remainder of the Clone Wars.

Armor and Equipment[]

The 282nd Regiment was equipped with TX-130 Saber-class fighter tanks and AT-AP walkers. Their vehicles armor was marked with red, to distinguish them from the 96th Regiment, who marked their armor blue. The troopers were given standard Phase I clone trooper armor, as well as pilot and gunner armor.[1]
