The unit held five companies, with each consisting of 100 commandos per company, which accounted for 25 squads. Within the battalion, Arca Company was housed, who also held Delta Squad and Omega Squad. Veshok Squad was also housed in a separate company.
During the Clone Wars, Jedi General Bardan Jusik was placed in charge of the unit, until he stepped down from the Jedi Order and as a military General. When Jusik stepped down, Jedi General Etain Tur-Mukan was placed in charge.

The unit comprised of four commandos, who reported to the Director of Special Forces and Jedi General Arligan Zey, who ran the Special Operations Brigade. The unit was one of the few remaining complete batches.
Omega Squad was an elite squad of clone commandos. The unit was comprised of commandos who had previously been a part of Theta Squad, Prudii Squad, Teroch Squad, and Lambda Squad. Despite the unit not growing up together, they worked as a cohesive unit. The commandos reported to the Director of Special Forces and Jedi General Arligan Zey, who ran the Special Operation Brigade.

The commandos within the battalion were typically equipped with at least Katarn-class commando armor, DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon Systems, and DC-15s side arm blasters. The commandos would amass their own arsenal, including bowcasters, Verpine shatter guns, and e-Webs.
